Applying for a US Teaching Assistantship in Austria

US citizens' applications to the English Language Teaching Assistantship Program are administered by the Austrian American Educational Commission (AAEC – Fulbright Commission) on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education and Women's Affairs (BMBF). Applicants are encouraged to read the Program Description and the section discussing Application Materials required for the online application. Although the participants in this program make a substantial contribution to the fulfillment of the Fulbright Program’s mandate to promote mutual understanding between the peoples of Austria and the United States, participants in the US Teaching Assistantship Program are not grantees of the Fulbright Program.

Applicants must be 29 years old or younger at the time of application. Graduating seniors may apply; however they must complete their undergraduate degrees before starting their teaching assistantship.

Applications for 2016-17 will be accepted between November 15, 2015 and January 15, 2016. Only complete applications will be considered for review.
